Your life is like a ship, sailing in the world, sailing in the physical environment with all of its challenges and influences, and also sailing in the mental environment with all of its challenges and influences.

On this ship, yous take the arts and crafts, yous have the crew, and you take the helm. And beyond the helm, yous accept the Authority that is directing the ship, giving it purpose, management and a destiny.

Within this elementary analogy, you lot can begin to run into yourself more considerately, which is necessary now. For there is great change upon the world, and the influences in your mental environment and concrete environment are holding you dorsum to a great caste.

Your torso is the physical vessel, adjusted to its environment, a marvelous musical instrument if it is guided properly. Information technology can sail the whole world if information technology has a wise captain and an able crew. It requires many things to stay afloat and must be cared for very well indeed, or it can fail yous on the high seas with disastrous results. Information technology is not a perfect affair, only it is capable of marvelous accomplishments if information technology is well maintained and properly directed.

This is what it means to be a person in the world living a greater purpose. Your life cannot exist in disorder. Your obligations cannot be set out to people who accept no management. Your obligations must exist in alignment with what you are really doing here. And y'all must take the freedom to follow what is necessary for y'all.

Otherwise, you cannot be the captain of your transport. It will be governed by others. It will be endemic past the corporation, or the harbor chief. You will be chained to the docks forever, unable to set out. You volition be lost and beached on shore. It will be a miserable condition for you.

Therefore, as the captain, your ears must be to Heaven, only your mind must exist on the business of the twenty-four hour period. You must exist spiritual and practical all at once. You must become the captain of your shipWhat a keen challenge this is. This is lifelong learning right here. Now, you are so weak in this regard that you have no notion of what it means to really be in charge of yourself in a fashion that is effective and compassionate, in a way that allows you to respond to the power of Knowledge and to the meaning of your relationships.

God has given you a greater mission, just yous must chart the course. The globe is changing so quickly now yous cannot base your actions on onetime assumptions or what has been done before. You must nautical chart your class. You must guide your crew. You must make certain your ship has consummate provisions. For information technology is a long time before yous state at the farther shore, and you must exist able to survive and maintain yourself in the process.

For to be the helm of your ship, to accept this liberty, to have this journey, to have this fulfillment, yous must have this greater responsibleness and preparation. There is no other way.

To be the captain of your shipBut your ship will not travel alone, for you are meant to be united with sure others.
